Relationships In My Opinion

Ok so I just started this blog, after some debating I chose my first post to be about relationships.

Oh no here we go again with reading some sappy love story told by someone who has lived it or hearing about love gone wrong in the 21st century. Well even though both statements do apply to me, this is not the main focus of my blog post. I'm only 20 years old so many of you know how easy it is to have a facebook or be apart of some other social network. The things I noticed about facebook and all other social networking sites is that people basically put everything about their relationship up for everyone to view and comment. Or I've also seen posts by single people wishing they had a partner. I'm not saying that doing these things is wrong to do, I'm just pointing out that it now seems that a relationship is no longer between just two people, but the whole world.  But that is how technology has totally changed how we meet and interact with people. When it comes to what I post on a profile I have, I usually stick to the basics, but keep my location hidden.  It's funny that mostly all social networking sites have a "About Me" space where you can write whatever you see fit. I always put my disability down in this section, I believe in being honest and if someone is not cool with that then ok. Some of us may also post a picture for visitors to see, with mine it's usually "liked by 1 person" or "____commented "cute" or "pretty", but the amazing thing is when they see my profile after contacting me they usually never talk to me again. If people are looking for a relationship "honesty should be the best policy" but "white lying a bit won't hurt much too" My question to everyone is "Where has our core values gone" ~Disability Advocate
